LT Seeda currently serves as Reserve Chaplain. He emigrated from Thailand to the
United State in June 2001. He enlisted in the Navy in May 2008, and after boot camp
and “A” School was designated as a Ship’s Serviceman. LT Seeda was assigned to the
USS Kidd (DDG100), and was promoted to Ship’s Serviceman 3d Class. On this tour
LT Seeda served as a Buddhist Lay Leader during the USS Kidd’s WESTPAC
deployment, and also was an Individual Augmentee with a Joint Prisoners of War,
Missing in Action Accounting Command operation in Laos from April-June 2010.
In September 2010 LT Seeda was selected for the Chaplain’s Candidate Program, and
was commissioned as an Ensign in the United States Naval Reserve. He graduated from
the Naval Chaplain’s School Phase I in July 2012 and subsequently entered reserved
duty.
LT Seeda’s education includes a Bachelor of Arts from Mahamakut Buddhist University,
Bangkok, Thailand; a Bachelor of Sciences from Excelsior College, New York; a Master
of Science from the National Institute Development of Administration, Bangkok,
Thailand; and a Master’s of Divinity from University of the West, Rosemead, California
where he is pursuing a Th.D.
